France Lafleur

With over 30 years of experience at SOCAN and one of its predecessors, CAPAC, France Lafleur is accountable for all aspects of member operations and relations. France’s breadth of knowledge also extends into licensing, serving as Vice President of Licensing from 2001 to 2008. During this period, she successfully oversaw the implementation of a sales and marketing model in the licensing department. Since 2002, she has served as General Manager of SOCAN’s Quebec and Atlantic Division. Prior to 2002, France was manager of SOCAN’s Quebec Division and ran CAPAC’s Montreal office before the merger in 1990. Currently, she is Treasurer of the Canadian Music Centre – Quebec region and also sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. France completed her degree in law at the Université de Sherbrooke and is member of the Quebec Bar Association since 1980.
