Prairie Oyster

In more than 30 years as an award-winning, chart-topping band, Prairie Oyster has never been swayed by prevailing musical trends, and their consistent musical integrity accounts for both their longevity and the deep affection of their roots-music audience. Over the decades, great songs like "Goodbye, So Long, Hello," "Don't Cry Little Angel" and "Unbelievable Love" have earned their place in Top 10 radio charts, and in the hearts and minds of listeners throughout North America. Prairie Oyster have won Country Group or Duo of the Year honours six times from both the Canadian Country Music Awards and the Juno Awards. They have four No. 1 country singles in Canada, with an additional 12 singles reaching the Canadian Country Top 10. Eight of their albums have been certified gold or platinum. Prairie Oyster have garnered serious critical acclaim in the U.S. as well as in Canada, and were inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008. SOCAN is proud to honour Prairie Oyster members Joan Besen, Russell DeCarle, Keith Glass, John P. Allen and Dennis Delorme for consistent success throughout their lifetime as a band.
