Mary Milne wins 2011 Genie Award for best song

SOCAN member Mary Milne won the best original song honours at the 31st annual edition of the Genie Awards, honouring the best in the Canadian film industry. Milne took home the gold for her song “Already Gone,” which appeared in The Trotsky. Winners were celebrated in a gala ceremony on March 10 at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, and broadcast live on CBC television.
