Six original works by six SOCAN members originating from Quebec City will be premiered on May 11, 2008, in the Chapelle du Musée de l'Amérique française as part of an Hommage à la ville de Québec 1608-2008 concert presentation. The show will feature Ensemble E27 in works by Patrick Saint-Denis, Denis Dion, Gisèle Ricard, Jimmie Leblanc, Martin Bédard and Katia Makdissi-Warren, who will also act as conductor.

One of the many special events scheduled for Quebec City’s 400th anniversary celebrations, the concert is co-sponsored by the SOCAN Foundation. Five of the six programmed works were created under the suggested theme of "Encounter." More information on Ensemble E27 activities is available on their website.
