SOCAN’s annual Nashville members’ reception – held this year at The Acorn on Oct. 14 – drew a record 100-plus local SOCAN members and industry representatives, who connected with each other, cemented their relationships with SOCAN staff, and enjoyed the food and beverages on hand.

Among the songwriters in attendance were Deric Ruttan, Victoria Banks, Gerald O'Brien, Adam Gregory, Clayton Bellamy (of The Road Hammers), Lisa Brokop, Daryl Burgess, Linda McRae and Brad Mates and Danick Dupelle (both of Emerson Drive). Publishing company representatives who attended the event included those from ole, Murrah Music, Bluewater Music and Big Loud Bucks.

Attending on behalf of SOCAN were executives André LeBel, Pierre-Daniel Rheault and Kent Sturgeon; SOCAN’s Nashville representative Eddie Schwartz; and SOCAN representatives Jason Belo, Coralie Hummel and Peter Fera.
