SOCAN honours Hedley’s co-publisher with No. 1 Song Awards

SOCAN was pleased to honour one of the the publishers of Hedley’s music with No. 1 Song Awards for “Never Too Late” and “For the Nights I Can’t Remember.” The former reached the top spot on MuchMusic's Countdown chart on June 12, 2008, and the top of the MuchMoreMusic Countdown chart the next day; the latter reached the peak of the Nielsen BDS Hot AC chart on Jan. 28, 2008.


SOCAN’s Aidyl Jago and Sara Pavilionis presented the No. 1 Award plaques to Nettwerk One Music Publishing Ltd. representatives Chantal Olsson, Allison Kendall and Craig Horton (who is also a SOCAN board member). The songs are co-published by Universal Music Publishing Canada, and written by Hedley’s Jacob Hoggard, Dave Rosin, Tom MacDonald and Chris Crippin, along with producer Greig Nori (for “Never Too Late”) and both Nori and Dave Genn (for “For the Nights I Can’t Remember”) – all of whom will receive their plaques at a later date.


Jago and Pavilionis presented the honours at Nettwerk’s Vancouver offices on July 10, 2008.
