SOCAN is pleased to announce the launch of a new group-insurance program that is available exclusively to SOCAN members. This new program, MusicPro Canada, is offered in Canada through Front Row Insurance Brokers, Inc. (with underwriter Travelers Guarantee Company of Canada). It is also offered to SOCAN members residing in the U.S. through MusicPro Insurance Agency LLC and its “A-rated or better” underwriters.

MusicPro Canada’s initial offering, effective Nov. 1, 2008, is musical instruments and studio liability insurance. This new product gives members living in both Canada and the U.S. the opportunity to purchase coverage with lower premiums and deductibles than those offered under SOCAN’s previous group insurance program, which was discontinued as of Oct. 31, 2008. As well, the new product offers a more flexible range of choices in the types of coverage available.

MusicPro Canada plans to expand coverage over the coming months to include other specialized insurance products such as tour liability. Applications and quotes will soon be available online. In the meantime, members seeking quotes for coverage are invited to contact the following:
