SOCAN was pleased to honour Daniella (Danielle Pavicic) with a No. 1 Award for her song “Every Word,” which reached the top spot on Billboard magazine’s Hot Dance Airplay chart on Nov. 11, 2008. The song was co-written with Alexander Rousmaniere (ASCAP) and Veikka Ercola (n/a), and was performed by Ercola & Daniella.

SOCAN’s Jason Belo and Rodney Murphy presented the No. 1 Award plaque to Daniella in a small, intimate ceremony at the Sassafraz restaurant in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood on Dec. 17, 2008. Daniella accepted the award in the presence of her family, and thanked SOCAN for the honour.
