SOCAN honours Ill Scarlett songwriters with No. 1 Song Award

SOCAN was pleased to honour the two songwriting members of Ill Scarlett with a No. 1 Award for their song “Nothing Special,” which reached the top spot on the MuchMusic Countdown chart on Nov. 8, 2007.
SOCAN’s Jason Belo and Rodney Murphy presented the No. 1 Award plaques to Ill Scarlett members and songwriters Alex Norman and Swav Pior at the Beaconsfield Bistro in Toronto’s West Queen West neighbourhood on Dec. 18, 2008. The band members accepted the award in the presence of their families and friends, and expressed their gratitude to SOCAN.
