Apply now for TransCanada Alberta Music Series

Alberta-based singer-songwriters and bands are invited to apply now for the TransCanada Alberta Music Series, a four-day festival of performances and artist development opportunities for the province’s musical artists. The event takes place at the EPCOR Centre in Calgary, Mar. 28-31, 2012, and the deadline for applications is Sept. 30, 2011.

The series presents individual artists and bands of diverse musical genres in order to celebrate the songwriting and musical talent of Albertans and foster their artistic development. Applying artists must be actively pursuing careers in the Alberta music industry and be based in Alberta. All artists must perform original songs and music.

To apply, artists must complete a submission form and include it in the application package, which must also include:
• Contact information
• Albums and press kits (digital files are preferable where available)
• Complete list of the performers within the band (all members must be Alberta-based)
• Detailed list of technical needs for performance, including stage plot and tech input list

Materials submitted without a self-addressed, stamped envelope will not be returned. Please do not send originals. Artists must own the copyright for all work produced.
