Apply now for SOCAN Billy Block live/radio showcase in Nashville
If you’re a SOCAN member who wants to showcase in Nashville, then the SOCAN-sponsored Billy Block Show might be just the opportunity you’re looking for. SOCAN has partnered with The Billy Block Show to provide members with an opportunity to showcase their songs before a live audience in Nashville, and have the performance broadcast throughout the U.S.
The Billy Block Show is a popular live music concert series held every Tuesday night at the Tin Roof nightclub in the Music Row area of Nashville. It’s also a successful weekly radio show. Each week, the concert series is broadcast on the city’s No. 1 country music station, 103 WKDF, in syndicated markets across the U.S. on radio, and worldwide on the Internet. Over the last 13 years, the show has produced more than 600 live concert broadcasts, showcasing more than 3,000 local, regional, national and international artists.
Artists are given 40-minute, full-band sets, which are streamed live online, as well as archived on Billy's YouTube and UStream channels. These shows are also taped to be featured on Billy's weekly TV show on channel 19 CATV in Nashville. (Five artists perform each Tuesday starting on the hour.) Full backline, PA system, lights and a sound engineer are provided, as well as VIP passes for food and drink specials courtesy of the Tin Roof.

Please include a little information about yourself and MP3 files of two of your songs – or a link to your MySpace page and/or website. Winning submissions will be chosen by Billy Block himself, and those selected will be invited to perform on his show. Please note that all SOCAN members wishing to perform on the Billy Block Showcase should submit their requests through SOCAN. Any direct requests to Billy Block will be redirected back to SOCAN for consideration.
If you’re selected for a showcase, and you choose to use The Billy Block House Band to accompany you, there’s a cost incurred by the member of $300 (USD) to pay the band, which includes both the rehearsal and the live show. You’re also responsible for the costs of travel and accommodation, but SOCAN does maintain two rooms in a Nashville House that can be booked by members free of charge.
