SOCAN was pleased to honour Michael Bublé for co-writing his hit song “Haven't Met You Yet,” which spent nine consecutive weeks at the top of Nielsen’s BDS AC chart, starting the week of Sept. 7, 2009, and hit it again for three separate weeks in 2010. The song was also No. 1 on the MuchMoreMusic Countdown the week of Dec. 4, 2009.
SOCAN West Coast representatives Lynn Ross and Michelle Dubuc presented Bublé with his No. 1 Award plaque on Aug. 21, 2010, just prior to his second sold-out show at Rogers Arena in his hometown of Vancouver. The song was co-written by Alan Chang and Gillies Foster (both BMI), and is published by I'm The Last Man Standing Music Inc., Ihan Zhan Music (BMI), Ms. Doe Music (BMI), Warner Tamerlane Publishing Co. (BMI) and WB Music Corp.(ASCAP). Warner Chappell Music Canada, which administers the catalogues of the last two publishers listed, was awarded a plaque on a separate occasion.
