More than 20 SOCAN members played a Canada Rocks 4 Japan benefit concert at The Sound Academy in Toronto on April 14, 2011, raising more than $30,000 to aid the efforts of the Canadian Red Cross in Japan.

Karl Wolf pleased the crowd of 1,200 with a high-energy performance of his hit song "Africa," Maestro got the audience singing along to his classic hip-hop anthem "Let Your Backbone Slide," and Justin Nozuka gave a moving acoustic performance. Other standout performers included Blake McGrath, Glenn Lewis and Oriana.
