Register now for the 2012 International Songwriting Competition

SOCAN members and other Canadian musicians have until Nov. 1, 2011, to enrol in the 2012 International Songwriting Competition (ISC), an annual song contest including 20 categories covering most musical genres and whose list of past winners includes many Canadians. This year’s judges include Tom Waits, Amadou & Mariam, Tori Amos and Ozzy Osbourne.

In 2012, 68 winners will share $150,000 (U.S.) in cash and prizes, including an Overall Grand Prize of $25,000 and $20,000 in musical equipment and services. The finalists will be announced in late February, and the winners of the 2012 competition will be unveiled at the end of April. For more information and to register, please visit the ISC website.
