A new platform for self-produced emerging artists was launched on Thursday, March 19, 2009, during the Trille Or awards presentation honouring excellence in Franco-Ontarian music and promoting the development of the Francophone music industry across Canada. The new site, Espace Émergence, is jointly presented by the gala’s organizer, the APCM (Association des professionnels de la chanson et de la musique) and Les Disques RSB. The most important service being provided to independent artists by the new platform at this time is the distribution of physical albums.
