The fourth annual Portfolio competition is on! Emerging Montreal artists from all disciplines, including songwriting, have until Oct. 14, 2011, to register for this event, planned as an introduction to the professional entertainment industry. The competition includes a free training session on artist portfolio preparation and networking techniques. Cash awards of $1,000, $650 and $350 will be presented at the closing ceremony on Nov. 24 at Montreal’s Espace La Fontaine. For more information, visit the contest site.
