SOCAN was pleased to honour the writers of JRDN's hit song “Like Magic,” which topped the MuchMusic Countdown chart March 31, 2011, and the MuchMoreMusic Countdown on April 1, 2011

SOCAN CEO Eric Baptiste presented the No. 1 Award plaques on June 23, 2011, on the patio of the Spice Route Asian Bistro Bar on King Street West in Toronto. The honoured SOCAN members were JRDN (Jordan Croucher) and brothers Bobby and Sammy Gerongco. Other co-writers were James Burney (BMI) and Priya Geddis (ASCAP), who could not attend. The song is published by SOCAN publisher member EMI April Music Canada/Songs of Maple Music Publishing.

Guests included JRDN's management, record label, and business affairs representatives, as well as several close friends. SOCAN's Jason Belo, Ted Seto, Rodney Murphy, Vicki Walters, and Betsy Chaly also attended the presentation.
