B. C. bands: Submit now for Seeds Contest

British Columbia bands with members aged 19 and over as of the entry date are invited to submit for the Seeds contest, run by Vancouver radio station 99.3 The Fox. Deadline for entry is 11:59 p.m. on May 13, 2011.

Prizes include $10,000 worth of gear from Long and McQuade Musical Instruments; recording and production of a five-song EP with producer Garth Richardson at the Nimbus School of Recording Arts; a three-day master session and production of one song at the school with producer Chris Shaw (Bob Dylan, Public Enemy, Weezer); a $5,000 demo recording deal with MapleMusic Recordings/Fontana North Distribution; a one-year agency-consultation agreement with the Agency Group Ltd.; and a six-week publicity contract from Hype Music Publicity and Promotion.
