Sheepdogs vying to win Rolling Stone cover contest

Led by SOCAN member Ewan Currie, Saskatoon-based, vintage-vibe rock band The Sheepdogs has made it as one of the final two contestants in a Rolling Stone magazine cover contest.

If The Sheepdogs win, they'll appear on the cover of the Aug. 18, 2011 issue of Rolling Stone; win a recording contract with Atlantic Records; and perform live on the Aug. 1, 2011 edition of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to make their American network television debut.

The Sheepdogs were the only Canadian artist in the initial selection of 16 contestants. To vote for the band before the July 1, 2011 deadline, visit the contest website
