SOCAN was on the scene at the 12th annual Tremplin de Dégelis, a pop music and comedy festival held May 17-21, 2011, in the Lower St. Lawrence area. Training & Industry Relations Specialist Stephanie Falco, from the Montreal SOCAN office, hosted information workshops for contestants May 20-21, while SOCAN member Suzanne Gagnon presented
Ben Sasseville with the $1,000 SOCAN Best Song Award for “Voleur de maman.” This year’s festival spokesperson was the popular singer-songwriter Martine St-Clair.

Falco also sat on the competition jury with SOCAN members Marie Denise Pelletier, Gagnon and Samuel Busque, as well as Philippe Beaulieu and Gabriel Anctil.
