Canadian Urban Television (CUT) will present its third annual CUT CONNEX urban music conference on May 6-7, 2017, at the Sheraton Centre in downtown Toronto.

The two-day celebration of urban arts and culture will connect urban musicians, consumers, and music business personnel through workshops, exhibition booths, musical presentations, live speakers, and events where artists, industry and fans can interact together.

Events will include live performances, the CUT Hip-Hop Awards, a dance battle, an art battle, and SOCAN’s “Cooking Beats” Workshop on May 6, featuring fast-rising producer FrancisGotHeat – all of which is aimed to teach and inspire up-and-coming talent in all areas, from beat production to grant writing.

The conference is inspired by a desire to serve undiscovered rappers, unknown singers, painters, photographers, poets, DJs, game developers, and so on. CUT is an online TV channel and community promoting Canadian urban talent through video programming, music recording, and the CUT CONNEX conference, to help grow urban music in Canada.

Prices range from $25 CDN for a one-day pass to $275 for a two-day pass and a booth at the trade show, and includes all workshops, all performances during the trade show, the art battle, and more. For more information, or to purchase tickets click here.
