Eleven music creators and singers won grants of $10,000 each, and four won grants of $5,000 each, as The Fondation SPACQ held its eleventh annual awards gala on Sept. 19, 2016, at the headquarters of the Banque National in Montréal.  For the eighth consecutive edition, Louise Forestier once again hosted the gala.

“Eleven years already!" said The Fondation SPACQ’s President, Diane Juster. "It’s always an immense pleasure for Fondation SPACQ to celebrate the accomplishments of authors and composers, while gathering not only those creators, but business people, broadcasters and other major players in our musical ecosystem. Solidarity is important to us, because it helps us to strive for the betterment of the work conditions and quality of life of creators here, and throughout the Canadian Francophonie. Thanks to our sponsors’ generous and unwavering support, The Fondation SPACQ has the means to celebrate the immense talent of our songwriters,”
