Just after he completed his performance on the stage of  MTELUS’s to mark the release of his new album La vie qu’il nous reste, SOCAN Account Executive David Charest surprised SOCAN member Marc Dupré with a SOCAN No. 1 Song Award saluting the chart-topping success of his song “Du bonheur dans les étoiles.”

Dupré co-wrote the song with Nelson Minville and John Nathaniel, and it’s published by Les Éditions Dama Inc., Éditions Chansons du suisse enr., and Productions John Nathaniel. “Du bonheur dans les étoiles” reached the peak of the Radio Correspondants chart on March 21, 2017.

A visibly pleased Dupré was surrounded by his wife, family, and close collaborators in the MTELUS dressing room when he received his award. SOCAN congratulates the artist, his co-writers and his co-publishers for their well-deserved success, and wishes him the best of luck with his new album.
