Members of the band Raffy were surprised onstage by SOCAN A&R executive Guillaume Moffet, who brought them SOCAN No. 1 Song Award plaques right in the middle of a show they were playing in the Claude-Léveillé Hall at Place des Arts on  Feb. 27, 2016.

“La dérive” songwriters, Carolyne Leblanc, Martin Gauthier, Marc-André Binette and François Mathieu, as well as their publisher, Éditions Romast, were rewarded for reaching the peak of the Correspondants chart on Oct. 20, 2015, and remaining there for three weeks.

A few days earlier, Raffy was at SOCAN’s Montréal office for a short but much-appreciated unplugged performance at the invitation of the employees’ social committee. It was not only an opportunity for the staff to discover this promising young band, but also to create closer bonds with our songwriter members.

Warmest SOCAN congratulations to Raffy for their achievement in Québec during the Fall of 2015!
