SOCAN co-presents “Cooking Beats” with FrancisGotHeat at IMSTA FESTA in Toronto

SOCAN will co-present its popular “Cooking Beats” panel at the SOCAN-sponsored IMSTA FESTA conference, to be held at the RTA School of Media at Ryerson University in Toronto on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The panel will feature one of Canada’s hottest beat-makers, FrancisGotHeat, who’s worked with Drake, Big Sean, Roy Woods and Lil Uzi Vert.

Other events include the keynote presentation, which begins at noon, featuring Grammy-winning mix engineer Dave Pensado and veteran manager/executive producer Herb Trawick; and “IMSTA Song Reviews,” which begin at 2:00 p.m, which offer a private, one-on-one, professional critique, and constructive feedback, from industry veterans.

Now in its fourth year in Toronto, IMSTA FESTA, presented by the International Music Software Trade Association, celebrates all things music technology, and promotes the message, “Buy the software you use.” IMSTA FESTA welcomes professional and semi-pro musicians, deejays, songwriters, music producers, audio engineers, music students, music educators and others interested in music-making.
