SOCAN co-presents 2012 Juno Songwriters' Circle

Four-time 2012 Juno Award nominee Dan Manganwill host the 2012 Juno Songwriters' Circle, co-presented by SOCAN in Ottawa on April 1.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2012 Juno Songwriters' Circle, co-presented by SOCAN and scheduled for Sunday, April 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Centrepointe Theatre in Ottawa. The circle will be part of the Juno Week festivities leading up to the awards show, and is co-presented by the Canadian Music Publishers Association.

Four-time 2012 Juno Award nominee and SOCAN member Dan Mangan will host the concert, perform some of his songs and share the stories behind them in this unique setting. Joining Mangan in this intimate musical event will be 2012 Juno Award nominees David Francey, Lindi Ortega, Max Kerman (of Arkells), Terri Clark, Kiran Ahluwalia, and Kardinal Offishall.

CBC Music, the official media partner of the songwriters' circle, will broadcast it live. CBC's Radio 3 will stream the event live on www.CBCMusic.ca; CBC's Radio2 will broadcast the event on national radio from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The event is a benefit concert for MusiCounts, Canada's music education charity associated with CARAS. Tickets are on sale at $39.50, available at www.centrepointetheatre.com or by calling (613) 580-2700.
