Canada’s major music publishers were honoured for songs that had achieved No. 1 positions on various airplay charts, in a presentation held Nov. 15, 2016, at SOCAN’s Toronto office, during our annual publishers’ meetings and receptions.

Attending were Vicki Walters and Jennifer Beavis from BMG Rights Management Canada; Mark Vanderpol and Michelle Aguiar from ole; Katharine Perak of CCS Rights Management; Jeff McGrath from Reservoir; Janet Baker and David Quilico from Sony/ATV Music Publishing; Samantha Billiaert and Bryce Seefieldt from Warner Chappell Music Canada Ltd.; Steve Payne from Casablanca/Red Brick Publishing; and three guests from New York City, Debbie Rose from Shapiro Bernstein, Madeleine Lowinger from the A&E Channel, and Danny Abowd from Roynet.
