SOCAN presents No. 1 Song Award to Tory Lanez

SOCAN was pleased and proud to present Tory Lanez with a No. 1 Song Award for “Say It,” which scaled the peak of the Billboard Mainstream Hip Hop/R&B chart on December 26, 2015. The award was presented backstage at the WayHome Festival, where Lanez was performing, on Friday July 22, 2016.

“Say It” – the official video for which has now been viewed more than 95 million times on YouTube – was co-written by Lanez; Andrew Wansel (BMI); Arturo Whitfield (NA); and Nicole Gilbert, Gordon Chambers, and David Hall (all ASCAP), and is co-published by Universal Music Publishing Canada.

Lanez’ new album I Told You is released Aug. 19, 2016, and he’s touring steadily from Sept. 4 through Dec. 7 to promote it.
