SOCAN has promoted Diane Petrucci to the position of Chief Financial Officer for the organization, effective Feb. 15, 2018.

Petrucci will oversee key financial areas, including operational budget planning, projection and trending analysis, while focusing on the big-picture perspective of financial decision-making, to effectively support strategic objectives, and make strategic recommendations to improve SOCAN’s financial standing.

“I’m honoured to fulfill such an important position at SOCAN, where I’ve enjoyed working for the past decade,” said Petrucci. “As the new CFO, I hope to further enhance SOCAN’s economic growth and development as we lead the global transformation of music rights.”

“We look forward to working closely with Diane to make SOCAN’s financial operations even more transparent and efficient,” said SOCAN CEO Eric Baptiste. “She’s proven herself to be an effective, forward-thinking financial manager, and I am confident that our financial and accounting processes will continue to strategically support SOCAN under her direction.”

Since joining the company in 2007, Petrucci has made significant contributions to SOCAN, helping to increase revenues through our licensee audits, while developing and managing business and financial controls for SOCAN. She became a manager in 2009, before taking on the role of director last summer.

When announcing Petrucci's appointment, Baptiste observed that SOCAN's executive team is balanced, with seven of its 13 members being female. SOCAN's overall management team comprises nearly an equal number of men and women, and the organization's total staff of nearly 300 across North America is made up of 60 percent women and 40 percent men.

SOCAN congratulates Petrucci, and looks forward to her contributions to our further successes!
