SOCAN wins a 2017 Canadian Enterprise Award

July 6, 2017

SOCAN has won the Best Music Licensing NPO (Non-Profit Organization) honour at the 2017 Canadian Enterprise Awards, announced July 6, 2017.

In order to celebrate the hard work of both individuals and companies in Canada, North America News created the 2017 Canadian Enterprise Awards. The honours pay homage to the game-changers of their respective industries. Award winners were selected after months of research and analysis from North America News' dedicated awards team. Each was chosen on merit only, and selected for their success.

The award confirms the ongoing success of SOCAN's mission to lead the global transformation of music rights. SOCAN is proud to play a leading role in supporting the long-term success of its almost 150,000 members, and the Canadian music industry. In order to adapt to exponentially greater data and complexity in the industry, SOCAN acquired MediaNet and Audiam in 2016 to supplement its data and provide new perspectives and rights. SOCAN continues to work hard on artificial intelligence, blockchain, and other leading-edge technologies as we adapt to meet the evolving needs of our members and licensees.

SOCAN is pleased and proud to have earned this honour!
