SOCAN member Patrick Lehman won first place in the Adult Contemporary Category of the 2015 Unsigned Only competition for his song “Games.” Lehman has already recorded three albums and toured Canada, Germany, The Netherlands and the U.K. He’s received widespread critical acclaim over the years, including being named “the nation’s best kept soul secret” by the CBC.

SOCAN members Ali Milner & Ryan Guldemonde (of Mother Mother) took first place in the Rock Category for co-writing the winning song "Swan," performed by Willa (ASCAP).

Placing second in the Adult Contemporary category is member Brock Zeman – who’s highly regarded on the Ottawa Valley music scene – for his song, “Pulling Your Sword out of The Devil’s Back.” Zeman’s latest album, of the same name, features personal songs with captivating melodies.

In the Pop/Top 40 category, member Liz Labelle took second place for “Bombs Away,” a catchy, electric-guitar-fuelled song about moving on after a heartbreak.

Member Jules Collarile placed second in the teen category for her song, “City Lights.” Influenced by P!NK and Bruce Springsteen, the 14-year-old sings about slowing down and enjoying life.
